Finalists will present their proposals to a panel of reviewers in the next few weeks, and winners are expected to be announced in April, according to a press release from the U.S. Department of Education.
One of Ohio's most respected educators was back in town last week to share his more than half-century of experience with other school leaders.
Richard Boyd was a guest of Cleveland State University’s Ohio Education Policy Fellowship Program , a 10-month program designed to develop high-level school leadership skills. Boyd is a former superintendent of Cleveland, Lakewood and Warren schools and was twice Mississippi’s state superintendent.
His address in Cleveland last week, titled “Jog to the Top,” touched on a wide variety of education issues.
